As we continue our series discussing the challenging sayings of Jesus, we look into John 14:6 which states, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'” (ESV).
Jesus’ words here were originally intended to be comforting, but in our postmodern society dominated by subjectivity, such a statement becomes challenging. Was Jesus wrong? What are the logical implications of Jesus’ words? It is clear that Jesus leaves no room for subjectivity, and such is the very nature of truth.
